but they are all the costs related to employment. You are right, one policy Japanese Automobile companies stick to is NON-UNIONLIZED, which made Japanese companies stand out. Union can protect, but can also destroy. It destroys the productivity of a company, especially at North America, the bad extreme direction of the role the Union plays

Infact the beifits in Japanese company is not bad at all, but employment has to be competitive, other wise, fired.

Another part of the cost saving is production management with high quality control to make Japanese car slightly higher quality than US's.

With the expense increase on gasoline, people are more likely to choose Japanese cars (Without talking about the emotions of Anti-Japanese by Chinese). The new Japanese cars can be put on sale with 7-9% mortgage competing the US cars with 0% mortgage interest rate.

I like this argument! In fact, that is a big trade off, of less gasoline consumption with the safety! Depending on wat you choose, which is absolutely clear for me the last.
