1)200 sq mt is pretty big for apt. (I assume you are not looking for a villa). The price in Shanghai shall be in the range of 6000 to 9000 rmb per month;
2)It varies. Some companies pay employees "after tax" salaries;
3)It varies again. American school will cost you an arm and a leg;
4)Is the traveling visa for your kid still valid? That shall have nothing to do with your pr status or not.
Same amount of salary lasts lot longer in China than in the States due to different purchasing power. You may negotiate with your company requiring housing/transportation allowance as precondition of your acceptance of the overseas assignment, calling it "hardship allowance."
