The Senior Solutions Engineer (Microsoft Exchange) is a member of the Global Solutions Center’s staff (based in Shanghai) who works with a cross functional team in order to design, build, validate, and document repeatable, proven solutions for the field sales organization, partners and customers. In addition, the Senior Solutions Engineer also designs and performs pre-sales proof-of-concept tests, speaks at customer seminars / engagements, and presents product/solution demonstrations
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide leadership for technical solutions, white papers, presentations, demonstrations, trade show participation, field sales and customer consulting, and customer briefing workshops
Design and build Solutions around Microsoft Exchange utilizing EMC and 3rd party hardware and software to meet or exceed our customer requirements
Design and execute functional and performance tests, analyze and document these results as an integral part of solution deliverables
Development of appropriate documentation to support EMC Proven Solutions
Evangelize Proven Solutions with EMC field personnel and customers
Consult on Exchange deployments and configurations
Support testing of beta releases, patches, hotfixes and upgrades leveraged in the Exchange infrastructure
Research future use cases, new software and technologies and collaborate on the Exchange Solutions Roadmap creation
Support lab equipment forecasting, installations and rotations
Attend regular meetings and provide updates to management
Support customer demonstrations, round-table discussions and webcasts
Architect, build and lead proof-of-concept tests to a successful conclusion
Technical resource for solutions beta testing, develop test plans, participate in beta testing, perform site management
SKILLS:
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Exchange
Knowledge of testing tools for Microsoft Exchange
EMC hardware & software knowledge desired
SAN experience essential
IP Network knowledge an desirable
Strong communicative and writing skills
Ability to work as member of a global team is essential
Ability to handle multiple projects of moderate complexity simultaneously
Shows initiative and ability to lead projects
Education Required: Bachelors (Tech) or equivalent
Experience Required: 6-8 Years
