Program Manager II, Mobile search
Mobile devices are growing at an increasing rate and they are becoming more and more important in helping people search for information and complete tasks in their daily activities. At the same time, location is becoming a critical component in providing relevance in mobile scenarios. We are developing a new solution that provides the next wave of location aware platform and services for Bing Mobile and we are looking for a smart, talented and technically oriented program manager to help deliver the service.
As a program manager, you will work closely with the engineering team to define scenarios, design the platform and services and drive the product development cycle. You will need to collaborate with different teams within Bing in both US and Beijing, define and publish technical specifications and work with our external partners to bring the service to our customers. In order to succeed in this role, you will develop your expertise in one or more of the areas in location, mobile and wireless connectivity as well as cloud services.
This position requires an experienced program manager who can work independently with little supervision. You need to have strong organization and project management ability, good interpersonal skills and effective written and oral communication skills. You need to have a solid technical background, with a degree in computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent, a strong grasp of software engineering principles and at least 4 years’ experience in shipping commercial software products and/or online services. You should have a proven track record in customer-focused innovation and the ability to pick up new technical domains and spot industry trends quickly.
Knowledge and experience in the following area is a strong plus: Location service and technology, Wi-Fi networking, cloud services and infrastructure, mobile internet.
This position is located in Beijing, China.
