Job description
Provide overall leadership in leading the design and architecture of System z middleware enablement technology line items development.
This candidate requires in-depth experience in design and architect skill, has good knowledge of IBM System z products and good communication skills. He/she needs to lead and grow/develop team’s in-depth technical skills to smoothly and successfully transition ownership of components this team is working on
Collaboration with local and US teams, support of local customers and S&D team in China are key and critical successful factors to become an effective technical leader in this role.
Required Skills
- Deep technical skills and knowledge in zOS middleware enabling technology
- Broad technical scope in zOS kernel/core, storage management, z stacks, cloud and virtualization technology.
- Assist and guide management and emerging technical leaders in driving thought leadership, technology vision and direction for entire team.
- Provide technical expertise support in our every day operational responsibilities and product commitments.
- Lead and educate team in product roadmaps, Fall Plan and portfolio strategies.
- Help management retain, nurture and develop our technical talent by providing contribution feedback, career guidance and support.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills in English and in Chinese.
- Creative problem solving, flexibility, and adaptability.
- Experience in firmware skill is a plus.
- Good business sense and global view.
- Strong leadership and drive to achieve, experience in collaborating with different business units.- Master degree in Computer Science and Electronic Engineering or equivalent, or above.
Local experience: ( 10 ) years at least
