Title: Software Engineer - Telco 
Location: Beijing, China
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
- Join as a member of the telco development team on the China TTC.
- As a member of the China TTC, your job is to create high performance and scalable infrastructure code for the Telco network elements and Parlay X development.
- The WebLogic Communications Platform is the first converged IT and telecom platform, providing full-service lifecycle capabilities in a carrier-class environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
• You will be part of a small, tightly knit and agile team of developers who build the WebLogic Communication Platform – a product family for telecom operators.
Major responsibilities:
• Review of functional and design specifications.
• Test plan and test case design.
• Development of tests, and QA process improvement. The development environment is based on Java.
Additional responsibilities:
• Status reports to management.
• Development of project test plans.
• Analyzing risk trade-offs.
Qualifications/Necessary Skills:
• Solid experience with Java (or equivalent) in the industry with the ability to write maintainable test code.
• 2 - 4 years of product and/or QA development in JAVA / J2EE or equivalent technologies.
• Experience with analyzing and troubleshooting product problems.
• Experience with test automation or test automation development (JUnit / Cruise Control a plus).
• Solid UNIX environment experience.
• Motivated to excel in a QA role.
• Able to independently develop testing strategies and techniques.
• Experience with testing SIP.
• Experience with commercial telecom testing equipment.
• Knowledge of the SIPServlet API (JSR116).
• Knowledge of VoIP related standards, specifically the SIP protocol (RFC 2543, 3261, 3262, 3265, 3428).
• Knowledge of existing SIP server solutions.
• Experience with MMSC and SMSC integration (SAMS messaging API, JSR 212).
• Experience with JAIN/SLEE, JAIN/SIP.
• Experience with other Java tools such as Findbugs and code coverage solutions.
• Working knowledge in J2EE Web applications.
• Familiarity with BEA WebLogic.
• Working knowledge of scripting languages such as TCL and Perl.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Have good time management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to be effective in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
• An effective team player.
Educational Requirements:
• BS or MS in Computer Science or related field of education.
