BACKGROUND
Anite Telecoms are looking for an outstanding individual to join their regional team based in China. Due to the success of our existing product set and the recent release of a series of new products, we need to expand the current team.
Anite currently have a substantial number of conformance testing systems in operation throughout the world allowing users to perform type approval and conformance testing of all types of GSM and GPRS and 3G mobile stations.
ROLE
The role of Technical Support Consultant will provide pre and post-sales support to our customers who include telecoms equipment manufacturers and operators worldwide. The successful candidate will join the Customer Support Group, but will also work very closely with the relevant development teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Logging and tracking of customer issues related to Anite products
Responsibility for answering customer questions on usage of Anite product set
Assisting in investigating and reproducing software problems raised by customers
Working with the development team to provide patches or bug fixes to customers when required
Building close relationships with customers and providing feedback of customer requirements to the development team
Advising on user documentation for Anite products
Carrying out technical demonstrations and assisting with sales support activities such as evaluations
SKILLS REQUIRED
Essential:
Good engineering or science degree or equivalent academic qualifications
Excellent communication, interpersonal and team working skills
Technical background
Prepared to travel overseas for short periods of time
Highly Desirable:
Experience of GSM/GPRS/3G air interface protocols or similar telecommunications protocols
Software engineering experience in the Electronics or Telecoms industry
Experience of working in a Customer Service environment
Sales support and presentation experience
LOCATION
Although based in our Beijing/Shanghai office the role may require working for short periods on customer sites around the world.
