3am at China time from my son. "Hi, dad, the sky is falling. The Dow was falling like a rock, down more than 500 points!!" My son has "glued his nose" on the Bloomberg terminals for the whole day. I just asked him one question: "how much we have in stocks in our portfolio? "10% only! mostly in energy sector. With 90% in cash collecting dust, we are in an excellent position to do bottom fishing! Time to do more research for the next few days.
The last time he called me that early was asking how to prepare 火锅。 
Sap da xia, do you think the market will rebound immediately or continue to go south indefinitely?? The fact that the market came back to down 400 plus instead of 500 plus by the closing bell indicated someone were bottom fishing already. I wish I were back in the States right now. 
Fast rewinding to 1987 the Black Monday, the first down day was not scary but the following down days were really felt as the end of the world.  I survived though. It took my boss seven years to break even!!
