US inflation, believe or not, is in some way controlled by China.
China buy massive amount of US govt bond, support its price, thus lower its yield. This also makes borrowing cost lower for US customers.
China imports a lot of raw materials such as Oil, Coke Coal (For steel making) as well as grain, thus push up world prices on these. If US import the same stuff from the intl market, US cost will go up too.
China exports a huge amount of goods to US at high social and environment cost to its citizens, but this benefits the US customers for ever lower prices and lower pollutions.
China is trapped in a rock and hard place...Its currency is worth less internally, but worth more to the outside. It is hopeless.
