Analysts crunched the number and followed industry trends, they concluded that estimated size of 2010 biofuel market is $100Billion. However, in fact Biofuel does increase global warming, destroy forests and inflate food prices.Only cellulosic ba<x>sed ethanol is efficient enough to cut emissions by more than it takes to produce the fuel. The rest of the " green fuel" are net carbon emitters.(I don't know what will happen after Koyto Protocol taking actions.) The most eye-popping data indicates that : the US leads the world in corn and soybean production, but even if 100% of both crops were turned into fuel, it would be enough to offset only ONLY 25% on-road fuel consumption!!!
The world is still going to fight uphill battle until it realizes that biofuels aren't part of the energy solution at all.
