The Weekly Chart shows the Dow has continued to fall extremely sharply out of the large triangle pattern that formed over the first half of the year. As we mentioned early, this triangle's forecasted target of 8,400 has now been reached. Watch for this level to serve as a fulcrum, and the next big move away from this level will likely follow through; A down-side move could easily carry the index back toward critical 11-year support at 7,500, while an upside breakout could carry the Dow back to the critical psychological level of 10,000. But first, however, we must see how the index reacts at 8,400.
