WLAN Switch/AP Development –Trapeze Hangzhou
Position: WLAN Switch/AP Development Manager
(Work Location: Hang Zhou, PRC)
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will have people, project and technical management responsibilities for the development and support of our WLAN Switch/AP products and services. The key responsibilities include:
o Working closely with Product Managers and Project Leaders to establish and execute development programs for the delivery of our WLAN Switch/AP products and services.
o Project management of assigned activities including status monitoring and reporting, task assignment, risk management, issue resolution and budget adherence.
o On-time delivery with high quality and adherence to corporate processes and procedures.
o Leadership and management of teams of technical staff including hiring, performance management, career development and coaching.
o Provide technical leadership through participation in project and technical reviews and provide technical input and guidance to employees.
o Ensuring high quality delivery in adherence to industry standard quality systems (ISO, TL9000, CMMI).
Qualifications / Experience Required:
o Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Electronics / Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or other related discipline.
o 8+ years of experience working in Telecommunications, Enterprise or other related industries.
o Minimum 2 years experience leading/managing technical organizations.
o Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Mandarin, with good inter-personal skills.
o Proven ability to work effectively in a global development environment across multiple sites.
o Sophisticated experience with software engineering and lifecycle management.
o Proficiency in the C/C++ programming language.
o Rich experience in IP network domain with deep understanding to TCP/IP, QoS, Tunneling, routing and switching technologies.
o Experience in developing data network products,
Pluses:
o Experience of developing WLAN products is preferred.
o Knowledge of 802.11 protocol suite and WLAN technology is preferred.
o Prior work experience in the US or with US based multi-national firms is an asset.
o Experience with QNX or other embedded operating system is an asset.
o Knowledge of RF, Regulatory, OFDM, MIMO is an asset.
