Your “Bird’s Eye View” is a good poem for an example of modern poetry. The order of the day in that genre is “short and sweet”. You speeak about the high view of human life. As the Bible describes it, life is a mere vapor. It appears and just as quickly is gone. Yet I think that Jesus’ words are still appropriate for this “candle in the wind”: “Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify the Father which is in heaven.” Good poem, sobering message. Looking forward to more of your work.
