It is Saturday and I am stuck in airport(again). Many people in China working for MNCs are probably sharing the same experience with me, perhaps in the same airport. Solute to cubicle slaves and road warriors!

在北京,外籍身份是不是无法上4险1金,也就是“社保”?如果不能,看病、养老、公积金可以自己上吗?比较担心自己和家里人的医疗问题...因为听有的人说外籍人员不在社保范围以内,但是个人所得税照交,只是从4000起征
You are not eligible for any local social safety net since you are not citizen anymore. Similar to non-resident Chinese in Australia. You are responsible for your own superannuation, etc, etc. You might want to consult your tax lawyer if you are really concerned about it. A lot Aussies work overseas from Dubai to Alaska so it should not be a problem.
However the employer will, and it is required to, provide sufficient medical coverage for you and your family that are far bettern than local hire.
另外觉得BI领域在中国是比较空白,这是我当初离开中国的原因,觉得当时中国的大部分企业还忙于ERP,CRM 等核心 Operational systems,不过听说现在好多了,目前的问题是好多企业产生大量的数据不知道怎么用...理解在中国一些核心行业Sales的难处,原来在中国的时候也碰过不少钉子。可以想象工作压力会很大,就是没底自己还能不能从新适应起来。
When an opportunity knocks on my door, I always ask myself if I am the right person to grab it and being rewarded. Can i fit in the shoes in front of me? There are so many opportunities in China, from fast food to rocket science, and yes, they are dazzling and you won't find those downunder.
基本出发点是想趁着年轻回国博一搏,看看有没有机会从技术/咨询转型到管理,因为新的职位会覆盖销售、市场、渠道、技术、解决方案的开发,售后服务等多个方面,就当是借公司的平台练练手。
If I were you I would be extremely careful about it. What makes you marketable? Many people professionally developed themselves into a cornor(see the names I mentioned above). They have their back against the wall.
There is no way back once you have moved from technology to sales/marketing. Be careful about what you wish for.
