Senior Project Manager
Type: Full time
Location: Beijing, China
Position Summary
Work proactively with product management teams to develop TVS/RSS server product solutions to meet product performance and delivery goals.
Responsibilities
Work with Product management department to drive business requirements into project plans and deliver against schedule commitments.
Support software product development activities, including requirement analysis, system design, coding and product test.
Provide support for the product, including troubleshooting, bug fixes, technical training, etc.
Ensure designs are technically aligned with Polycom standard
Responsible for regular communications to Product management department, manufacturing department, service department, peers, partners and end users
Providing on-going support for all applications for which the team has engineering responsibility.
As a Manager responsible for the following:
- Manages employees responsible for design & development of solutions.
- Directs and manages individuals responsible for specific project deliverables.
- Develops, implements solutions to team issues
- Develops employees competencies and Polycom/DST’s expected behaviors within the team
- Creates an environment that promotes innovation and contribution
Requirements
1. B.S degree, or higher, in computer science or related engineering field
2. Have minimum of 8 years of experience in software development. Requires strong technical skills and knowledge in software product development under various operating systems including Unix, Linux and Windows XP/Server.
3. 2+ years project leadership role is required.
4. good at software architecture and OO design
5. good at C/C++ and Java programming in Linux OS
6. Deep knowledge in TCP/IP or other network protocols
7. SIP or H.323 knowledge is a big plus
8. Must be self motivated, flexible, and willing to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
9. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a global cross-functional team member.
10. Good communication in both English and Mandarin, written and oral.
