Campbell House was the home for Judge William Campbell and his wife Hannah in 1822. Today Campbell House is an oasis in the middle of Toronto's downtown.
Campbell House is the last remaining brick home of the Town of York. Originally the home was located at what is now Adelaide St. and Frederick St. then just two blocks away from Lake Ontario.
Campbell House is from an era before Lake Ontario was filled in to become what is now known as part of the downtown Toronto core.
The home was in disrepair in 1972 and was going to be torn down to make a parking lot, by Coutts Hallmark, who then owned the house. A group of criminal lawyers, the Advocates' Society stepped in to save the home. Today Campbell House brings a taste of how the wealthy of the city of York lived with tour guides in period wear.
Lincoln House 90% similarity, proves those PROTESTANT just not creative in architecture.
