Technical Account Manager based in Beijing
POSITION SUMMARY
The Technical Account Manager will provide technical expertise and knowledge of the BlackBerry solution as well as articulate and evangelize the BlackBerry solution to customers and Carrier Sales Engineers. The successful candidate, through various knowledge transfer activities, will help successfully execute on such things as BlackBerry architecture reviews and security model discussions, along with the presentation of effective pilot strategies, successful deployment plans, and discussions regarding the extension of the BlackBerry platform for corporate data access. He/She through interactions with the customer will play a critical role in helping to remove technical objections within key corporate accounts as well as help the carrier develop further customer confidence in the BlackBerry solution. As part of the role he/she will be expected to deliver technical product training to customers, carrier teams and channel partners, participate in and present at regional trade shows that have a technical audience and work with carrier and RIM personnel to develop technical sales documentation to support carrier and carrier channel sales teams. He/She will proactively co-ordinate pilots with the largest corporate clients in the country to ensure a smooth transition between the carrier, systems integrators and internal IT staff. This is a new role therefore it offers a fantastic opportunity to make an impact in this growing team.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in multi-tier application development utilizing one or both of the .NET framework or J2EE is required
• Mobile application development on the J2ME platform is required
• Certification SCJP, SCMAD are great pluses
• Prior experience in technical presales of software platforms or end to end solutions in large enterprises
• Excellent technical skills and strong analytical and diagnostics skills
• Experience with Microsoft Exchange, Novell GroupWise and/or Lotus Domino and Windows Server OS platforms is great plus
• Technical knowledge on how firewalls, proxies, software distribution, asset management, network infrastructures work
• Confident and effective public speaker
• Fluency in Mandarin and English required
