Michael Emen is Senior Vice President in charge of the NASDAQ Stock Market's Listing Qualifications Department, the regulatory group which is responsible for reviewing companies for compliance with NASDAQ's initial and continued listing requirements.
Mr. Emen graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Arts degree and received the degree of Juris Doctor from the New York University School of Law. He has been involved in the securities industry for many years working at the New York Stock Exchange, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the American Stock Exchange and now at NASDAQ. Mr. Emen has participated in numerous programs, including those sponsored by the Comptroller General, the University of Michigan, the University of Wisconsin, Yale University, Corporate Women Directors International, Directorship Boardroom Forum, the National Association of Corporate Directors, the National Investor Relations Institute, the North American Securities Administrators Association, the Securities and Exchange Commission and various other groups, including bar associations and law and accounting firms.
He is the author of several articles concerning corporate governance.
