Years ago I already saw this happening, not just in the US. Microsoft has always been trying to ignore or downplay the impact from Linux,
but the Linux era is looming ahead in sight. And that's why I am writing my own project all on Linux.
I do not agree with the note that a nation has to get hold on some kind of operating system, though. China has spent over 20 years on its "Yinhe" system, in vain.
Linux is an open system and we should not spend any time or money to develop one more version of it. We should, instead, train good Linux people to work with it.
This is a good opportunity for people like us. It's been my opinion that, in the next decade, there won't be big waves like the PC revolution or the Internet,
that have produced riches like Dell and Gates, however, there will be many opportunities in the service area where
we can do a lot of things. Services on Linux are a
tremendous arena that we can harvest our glamour!!!
