A "marriage", in essence, is a "contracted" agreement entered into by and between one man and one woman in writing (marriage certificate) and approved (registration completed at relevant governmental authority) under which each party shall perform his/her obligations while enjoying the rights of being cared for by the other party, having sex with the other party and sharing the property earned during the term of the marriage.
A party to such a "contract" may terminate it upon occurrence of one of the "termination events" set in their minds respectively when executing the marriage agreement, such as frustration of purpose - cannot have passionable feeling, cannot receive romantic love, cannot have high quality sex life, etc. if he/she enters into this contract with such aims.
Therefore, in the present case, either Mr. Ding or the former Mrs. Ding has the right to terminate the contract concluded between them in the event that an "termination event" occurs. In the marriage contract area, there are no legal remedies available for aggrieved party to seek specific enforcement of love, sex, passion, intimate caring from the defaulting party because such application is unenforceable no matter in which jurisdiction the case is heard. Seeking as much as possible monetary damages is the best choice for a non-defaulting party because adequate financial support is a greatly helpful and sometimes very essential in inviting good offers of entering new marriage agreement (enough money will offer sustainable decent living standard and body improvements such as healthy foods, personal coach, plastic surgery in body and face.- constituting high quality presentation to invite for bidding or bid for good targets).
In summary, for a party in a weaker economic status, it is wise to seek professional help ASAP to secure the financial resources is of most importance when an "termination event" is approaching than crying all days hopelessly praying for unenforceable return of status ante or maintain the status quo. Life is short! Accidents occur everyday. Should have fun of it whenever having the chance!
