I was in charge of a big project development core team and my project has been shown in government conferences and journals. So when I left, they felt too hard to get someone else to continue that... Even today, they still dare not touch that module a lot and only add data as I specified before. Of course, till today, I still give suggests and consultations sometimes for free...  , since I would not want to break the bridge. After all, they are all nice people and treated me well during my work.
As far as salary, it is a little bit lower than industry, but much good flexibities and benefits...
They did prepare to give me higher pay in the exit interview, but for me, I would rather to go back China or come in my right strategic career path ...
