See the word "proprietary trading"? It means they are hiring day traders. You have to use your own money to trade first and they earn the commission. If you are proven to be good, they will lend you more money, up to 1:100 ration compared to your own capital. But remember you always risk your capital first. The money you make on the loan is split 8:2, with you getting the 80%.
Day trading also has many rules, such as you have to close all your position before end of the day and you only have a list of approved stocks to trade (for example, BIDU more likely is not on the list and it is too risky).
