Long Term Capital just did not get through margin calls. Dismissing them is arrogance by itself. The truth is, even with the 10% equity they got to keep, they are all multi-miliionairs. The banks all made huge profit with the 90% equity they are compensated.
One of the guys is teaching in Standford, requring zero salary.
