Legal Manager –China

The world top semiconductor manufacturing company is seeking the Legal Manager heading for China.
Location: Shanghai

Desired Experience
 Over 10 - 15 years experience in the legal related area in MNC manufacturing or firm
 Study or working experience overseas, ideally in USA is preferred
 Have strong relationship with government and associations a must
 Exposure or experience with large corporations and must have China working background
 A generalist in legal practice cover commercial and IP
 Able to work independently and build the team

Duties and Responsibilities
 To develop, introduce, implement and coordinate the company’s standard business actions document, contract process in legal concern.
 To work directly with headquarter for the projects.
 To guide and give advice to executives during business activates and joint actions to protect and maximize the effectiveness of company’s benefit.
 To act as a legal counsel to ensure understanding and to maximize the company’s benefit in the sense of China related laws and overseas.
 To act as business advisor to initiate and improve the internal and external from legal point of view and to assist the business efficiency and growth of the company
 To be able to coordinate with head office and other offices over the world legal department for transaction, execution and IP affair.

Technically sound
Good hands-on knowledge of the full spectrum of legal practice with a preferred emphasis in general commercial and IP
Regional Orientation
A good understanding of the multinational organization in China and the ability to work harmoniously and effectively across nation and cultural boundaries
Exposure
Studied or working experience overseas, ideally in USA is preferred

Effective Communicator
Must be a good communicator and with good interpersonal skills
Is able to deliver presentations with enthusiasm and energy in English/Chinese and effectively organize ideas for logical presentation and acceptance

Resourcefulness
Should have a fair, cheerful disposition and able to follow businesslike procedures to accomplish objectives

Certification
Either or; Bar USA or New York or Bar China

Reporting relationships
Report directly to General Legal Counsel - Headquarter

Education:
Minimum a Bachelor’s Degree, higher education preferred

Language:
Fluency in Mandarin and English a must

Nationality:
Local Chinese professional
