Hi,
I am new to this board. I have a question regarding reentry permit/green card. My situation is this:
Got my conditional GC in 2000(based on marriage to US citizen) and applied to remove the conditional status in 2002, but it's still being processed. now i need to go to HK to work for a few years but i will definitely come back to US a couple of times every year. i was reading the instructions for reentry permit application, it says "if you are leaving US for less than 1 year, you don't need to apply for the permit". in my case, i will come back to US and stay a week or two within a year, my question is do i still need to apply for the reentry permit or not? also, am i having a risk of losing my GC if i keep on working in HK for a few years?
p.s. My wife and kids are going to stay here initially. but my wife may go to HK after 1 year or two.
Please Help!
