The company’s China operations showed substantial growth rates and gains in market share. New orders increased 34 percent from 31.3 billion RMB to 41.8 billion RMB. In the same period, sales climbed from 30.1 billion RMB to 38.4 billion RMB, an increase of 28 percent over fiscal 2003. Local manufacturing, engineering, R&D, software development and purchasing activities also were substantially expanded. At the end of Fiscal 2004, the company’s total long-term investment in China amounted to 8.5 billion RMB.

With 31,000 local employees, our client already is one of the largest employers among foreign invested enterprises in China. The company’s excellent reputation helps to attract and retain some of the best talent in the market.

Title: Venture Technologist

Category: R&D Manager

Responsibility:
1. Work with information and market strategists to conduct technology and business analysis, work with technology and business advisors, and communicate with Company’s business divisions to define strategic business spaces for TTB to pursue.
2. Recruit technical champions with the right skills to develop technology/business innovations in the defined business spaces.
3. Help identify, select, and define new technology/business ventures and map out TTB’s added value.
4. Serve as the interim team leader to guide the team to develop the prototype and the business plan. Also identify and nurture the team leader to assume project responsibility.
5. Guide/Support the team leader to identify and acquire potential customers and/or partners
6. Guide/Support the team leader to bring the project to an exit point (as a new Company’s business or a start-up)

Requirements:
1. Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields with outstanding publication records or MBA with strong technical knowledge and experiences
2. Team builder with highly effective interpersonal skills for motivating multi-functional teams
3. Demonstrated tenacity and flexibility to rapidly and reliably achieve goals
4. Must be able to interact with C-level executives
5. Combined 5 years of overseas industry experiences in at least two of the following technology areas, information, communication, and industry automation.
6. Must be a self-starter; Demonstrated project management skills, proven facilitation & analytical skills
7. Excellent verbal, writing and presentation skills, Fluent in English and German (plus).
