the key point is these CxO of Chinese companies do NOT understand the difference of hedging and gambling, or even worse, they are all aware of the situation but still would take the risk - quite huge in this case and gamble with the money. it is not at all hedging now to offset the potential risk of price changing, but totally GAMBLING.
IF they win, they can take the honor under their names and of course pursue a better future.
IF NO LUCK, they lose, just like what had happened, they will blame the failure to others, in this case, the western evils, and the shareholders or even Chinese tax payers will have to pay for the lose.
This is not the 1st time for Chinese people, will it be the last one?!
