what happened to me doesnt necessarily happen to you though, but certainly you should be exta cautious when you go back to hire people. basically you shouldn't trust what they said, at least to be skepical about it. i am not saying there are no decent engineers, but it is just hard to spot them. also the turn over rate is way too high. if someone else offers a little bit more, they just jump the boat, there is no loyalty to stick around. if you are representing big fish, it would be better i think, but i did hear that even big blue in bj had a hard time to find good people. you also have to be worried with IP, someone could take they develop away when they leave to your competitor. anyway, such a chao.
there are no background checking and reference checking, those head hunters basically is useless in this regard. even there are such checkings, i wouldn't buy it though.anyway, i sound like a whiner , good luck with hiring.
