are credit charge off, default has its own defination in this industry, which is separate from BK and Crdit Charge Off and only counts for less than 5% of total bad debt. Bank just simplly dump the bad debt from BK and Credit loss to collection company, that's a common practice. Collection company could sue you, but definately not for those regular $2000 credit card debt. If you live in US, you know what the cost of bad credit. Nearly no one wants to do that on purpose. Every for professionals, it takes couple of years to build a good enough credit file to qualify a 10,000 dollar credit card. it is too slow for professional cheaters. If you know more about those poor card holders, you will understand why people do not pay their debt.In fact, there is great pressure on banks recently for some "Loan Shark" practice.
I just told a fact of truth about this industry. And BTW, it is illegal for card issuer to extend credit based on race,marriage, gender or origion of his country. Everybody knows those factors make difference, but non of them can appear on decision model. Bank will be sued to death for doing that. So, I do not think his behavior could influence other Chineses.
