联想IBM的收购案,我想, 差不多是同样的问题。本人在IT方面, 基本是一盲, 说偏了, 各位别见笑! (海归论坛 www.haiguinet.com)
就我所知, IBM的强项是计算机硬体的制造销售,

随着计算机制造技术的普及和市场竞争的趋于饱和,这部分业务的整体行业获利水平已经是每况愈下.

而附加值较高,比较有发展潜力的计算机软体部份,应该不是IBM的所长。

所以如果说联想收购IBM,取得了新技术, 好象不太适用。

获得资源,据说IBM的主要资源在于一些提供服务的美国政府机构和大公司客户。而这部份业务, 毕竟是有涉及到所谓的国家安全的敏感问题, 所以有美国业内人士预言, 一旦联想收购IBM, 这一部份的客户中相当一批会流向美国本土企业,主要是戴尔或惠普。

那么一来, 联想获得的资源的含金量还有多少那?扩大市场份额,欧洲和亚洲的情况我不太了解, 在北美市场上, 联想基本是无名之辈, 借了IBM的牌子, 当然有助于联想进入北美市场。只是北美市场的竞争已经是处于饱和状态,
>>日本品牌占据了高端市场?????? PC or mainframe??? I think you must be kidding. PC (desktop) is definitely in US firms' hand. Toshiba/Sony are losing in laptop too.

, 在美国现有的三大品牌中, IBM的市场占有率又远低于戴尔,惠普,联想加IBM,在北美的市场上,还有多大的发展空间, 这里面有一个很大的问号。

消灭或削弱竞争对手, 联想加IBM, 现时要消灭戴尔,惠普恐怕根本还谈不上,削弱竞争对手,前面提到了美国已有人预言现在IBM的一些客户未来可能会流向戴尔,惠普,应该是会有同样的效应, IBM成为变相的中国品牌后, 很可能也会把其它一些客户推向戴尔,惠普。 所以是否能削弱竞争对手, 可能还要拭目以待。
