All responses are definitely informative and encouraging.
I understand 450 grand is a small nestegg, that is why I keep wondering how many more days I need to stay here to make the nestegg be bigger. In my mind, days in USA are a waste of my life, therefore I have to call a quit as soon as I feel secure financially.
Once in China, I want to build a very diversified portfolio across regions and asset classes. My plan is to travel as much as possible in China, both in big cities and small cities.
When I say "Travel", I mean to settle down for a few months.
But I need to buy a nice condo in a nice city to be my home base, because I am afraid that skyrocketing house bubble will rock me out financially as time goes. 珠海is my pick for my home base. It is very beautiful city and well located, close to Macao, ShenZhen, GuangZhou, HK. Also it is possible to get a view of the ocean in view from my balcony.
