I have some questions that are puzzling me:
1. After the patent expiry, what the company hold the original patent usually do with the brandname drug? Do they price them the same as the generic drug?
2. What's the legal ground for the prescription drug management companies to charge higher co-pay for brandname drug? Do they still do so (charge higher co-pay)after the patent expiry?
3. If I were a drug company executive in charge of a drug that's going through patent expiration, other than those that can become OTC, what options I have to manage the expiry while extracting the most value out of the drug?
