For me, I am first and foremost a Chinese, not a Chinese American or anything else. China has my utmost loyalty and devotion, no anything else can compare. I have resigned from my current job and will go back to China very soon. After staying abroad for 9 years, I think I have had it enough.

From a sense, I can understand your point. I believe for people like you who left China before 1995-1997 have totally different perception towards China. For younger people like us, it is natural to think tomorrow will be better, your future on your own hands etc.

Call it naive or immature, but truth is, by putting yourself to a bigger, grander thing, you find peace with youself. Be it God, or patroism.
